The Derkul ( Ukrainian , Russian Де́ркул, Де́ркуль ) is a left tributary of the Siversky Donets in northeast Ukraine on the border with Russian Rostov Oblast .

The Derkul rises north of Markiwka in the Ukrainian Oblast Luhansk on the western foothills of the Danube ridge . It flows in a predominantly southerly direction through a hilly plain in the north-east of the oblast and flows into the Siversky Donets after 165 km on the left. In the lower reaches of the river it forms the border to the Russian Rostov Oblast. On the lower reaches of the Derkul flows through the urban-type settlement of Bilovodsk . The most important tributary of the Derkul is the Polnaya from the left. The Derkul catchment area covers 5180 km².
