Markiwka (Ukrainian Марківка ; Russian Марковка / Markowka ) is an urban-type settlement in the north of Luhansk Oblast in Ukraine with around 6,000 inhabitants (2016).
geography
The village is the center of the Rajons of the same name and is located on the Derkul River in about 125 km from the Luhansk Oblast center and 35 km southwest of the Russian urban-type Kantemirowka settlement . In addition to the actual settlement, the municipality is divided into the village of Derkulowe (Деркулове) and was founded in 1703.
