Syrotyne (Ukrainian Сиротине ; Russian Сиротино / Sirotino ) is an urban-type settlement in the west of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 1,600 inhabitants.
Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Sjewjerodonezk, 4 kilometers to the north, and forms its own settlement council to which the urban-type settlements Metjolkine and Voronowe also belong, the oblast capital Luhansk is 71 kilometers east of the place, and the Siversky Donets runs southwest of the local area .
Syrotyne was first mentioned in writing in 1684 and was elevated to an urban-type settlement in 1938.
