Lomuwatka (Ukrainian Ломуватка ; Russian Ломоватка / Lomowatka ) is an urban-type settlement in the west of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 900 inhabitants.
The place administratively belongs to the municipality of the 9 kilometers northeast lying city Brjanka and belongs to the settlement council of Yuzhna Lomuwatka (3 kilometers southwest), the oblast capital Luhansk is 56 kilometers east of the place, through the place the river Lomuwatka (Ломуватка) flows.
The place emerged as a station settlement at the end of the 19th century (as part of Hanniwka ) and became independent in 1953 after the construction of a coal mine. In 1963 Lomuwatka was finally elevated to an urban-type settlement, since summer 2014 the place has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the course of the Ukraine war .
