Sofijiwskyj (Ukrainian Софіївський ; Russian Софиевский / Sofijewski ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 4,000 inhabitants.

Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Krasnyj Luch, 9 kilometers south, and forms its own settlement council, which also includes the urban-type settlement Hruschowe and the settlement Dawydiwka (Давидівка), the oblast capital Luhansk is 49 kilometers northeast of the place, through the place runs the branch line to Wachruschewe .

Sofijiwskyj was founded in 1909 as a miners' settlement with the name Sofivka (Софіївка) and in 1938 received urban-type settlement status. Since the summer of 2014, the town has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
