Kamjane (Ukrainian Кам'яне ; Russian Каменное / Kamennoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 2,700 inhabitants.
Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Antrazyt, 9 kilometers southwest, and forms its own settlement council here, the oblast capital Luhansk is 45 kilometers north of the place, the river Kamjanka (Кам'янка) runs through the place .
Kamjane was founded in 1787 and was initially called Kamjanyj Jar (Кам'яний Яр; Russian Kammeny Jar / Каменный Яр), from 1929 to 1938 Kamjano-Millerowe / Кам'яно-Міллерове and was elevated to an urban-type settlement in 1938, since summer 2014 Occupied by separatists of the People's Republic of Lugansk during the war in Ukraine . The coal pits in the village were closed in 1997 due to unprofitability.
