Bokowo-Platowe (Ukrainian Боково-Платове ; Russian Боково-Платово / Bokowo-Platowo ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with about 2500 inhabitants.
Administratively, Bokowo-Platowe belongs to the municipality of the city of Antrazyt , which lies 5 kilometers to the east, and forms its own settlement council here, the oblast capital Luhansk is 52 kilometers north of the village, and the Kripenka (Кріпенька) river flows through the village . The settlement council also includes the settlements Chrystoforiwka (Христофорівка), Lisne (Лісне), Melnykowe (Мельникове) and Sadowyj (Садовий).
Bokowo-Platowe was founded in 1796 and upgraded to an urban-type settlement in 1938.Since summer 2014, the place has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
