Wachruschewe (Ukrainian Вахрушеве - Ukrainian officially since May 12, 2016 Bokowo-Chrustalne / Боково-Хрустальне ; Russian Вахрушево / Wachruschewo ) is a city in eastern Ukraine with about 12,000 inhabitants.
The place is located in the west of the Luhansk Oblast , about 8 kilometers west of the city of Krasnyj Luch and 58 kilometers southwest of the Oblast capital Luhansk north of the Mius River. The border with Russia runs immediately south of the urban area.
The urban-type settlement Sadowo-Khrustalnenskyj and the settlement Trubnyj (Trubny) also belong to the town council, which is part of the township of Krasnyj Luch .
Wachruschewe was formed in 1954 through the merger of several mining settlements that had been in the area since 1914. In 1963 the place was granted city status, the name goes back to the Soviet politician Vasily Wachrushev .
Since summer 2014, the city has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
