Knjahyniwka (Ukrainian Княгинівка ; Russian Княгиневка / Knjaginewka ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 900 inhabitants.
Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Krasnyj Lutsch, 6 kilometers northeast, and belongs to the settlement council of Khrustalne (4 kilometers to the north), the oblast capital of Luhansk is 59 kilometers northeast of the village, the Khrustalna river flows through the village , this flows south of the village into the Mius , the border with Donetsk Oblast runs southwest of the local borders.
Knjahynivka was founded in 1784 and received urban-type settlement status in 1960. Since the summer of 2014, the town has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
