Nyschnja Duwanka (Ukrainian Нижня Дуванка ; Russian Нижняя Дуванка / Nizhnyaya Duwanka ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine with about 2200 inhabitants.

geography

The place in Luhansk Oblast is located at the confluence of the Duwanka (Дуванка) with the Krasna , about 19 kilometers north of the district capital Swatowe and 140 kilometers northwest of the oblast capital Luhansk .

Nyschnja Duwanka forms administratively together with the villages Kulykivka (Куликівка) Nowonykanoriwka (Новониканорівка) Oleksandriwka (Олександрівка) Westatiwka (Вестатівка) and Twerdochlibowe (Твердохлібове) a settlement Council community.

history

The place was founded in the 1730s and has had urban-type settlement status since 1960.
