Biloluzk (Ukrainian Білолуцьк ; Russian Белолуцк / Beloluzk ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine with about 4,000 inhabitants.

geography

The place is located in the Luhansk Oblast , about 19 kilometers north of the district capital Novopskow and 128 kilometers northwest of the Oblast capital Luhansk at the confluence of the Bila with the Ajdar .

From an administrative point of view, Biloluzk and the village of Kuban form the settlement council of the same name.

history

The place was founded in 1645 by settlers from the right bank of the Ukraine , in 1732 Cossacks followed as new settlers. In 1832 the place was turned into a military settlement and cuirassiers trained here , this existed until 1857. In 1960 the village was named an urban-type settlement, and from 1923 to 1963 it was also the district center of the Biloluzk district .
