Losno-Oleksandriwka ( Ukrainian Лозно-Олександрівка ; Russian Лозно-Александровка Losno-Alexandrowka ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine with about 1000 inhabitants.
geography
The village is located in the north of Luhansk Oblast , about 34 kilometers north of the Rajons capital Bilokurakyne and 148 kilometers northwest of the Oblast capital Luhansk on the Losna River (Лозна). The border with Russia runs about 5 kilometers northeast, behind the border is the Russian urban-type Rowenki settlement about 13 kilometers away .
Losno-Oleksandriwka forms administratively together with the villages Oleksapil ( Олексапіль ) and Petrivka ( Петрівка ) the settlement council municipality of the same name.
history
The place was founded in 1705 and was from 1934 to 1959 the center of the Losno-Oleksandriwka district of the same name . On July 4, 1964, the village was designated an urban-type settlement.
