Schtschotowe (Ukrainian Щотове ; Russian Щётово / Schtschjotowo ) is an urban-type in the south of the Ukrainian oblast Luhansk with about 3800 inhabitants.
Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Antrazyt , which lies 8 kilometers to the south, and forms its own settlement council, which also includes the village of Selenyj Kurhan (Зелений Курган) and the settlement of Stepowe (Степове), the oblast capital of Luhansk is 44 kilometers north of the place, There is a train station in the village on the Otscheretyne – Swerewo railway line .
Schtschotowe was founded in 1773 and upgraded to an urban-type settlement in 1938.Since summer 2014, the place has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
