Selesniwka (Ukrainian Селезнівка ; Russian Селезнёвка / Selesnjowka ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine with about 2500 inhabitants.
geography
The place in the Luhansk Oblast is located on the Bila River (Біла), about 5 kilometers southwest of the Rajon capital Perevalsk and 41 kilometers southwest of the Oblast capital Luhansk .
Selesniwka forms administratively together with the village Utkyne (Уткине) and the settlement Radhospnyj (Радгоспний) a settlement council municipality.
history
The place was founded in the 17th century and raised to an urban-type settlement in 1961. In 1913 the country house Mszichowskow (Палац Мсциховського) was built in the place.
Since the summer of 2014, the town has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
