Klenowyj (Ukrainian Кленовий ; Russian Кленовый / Klenowy ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 2100 inhabitants.

The place belongs administratively to the municipality of the 7 kilometers southwest lying city Rovenky and forms its own municipal council municipality which includes the urban-type settlement Welykokamjanka , the village Korobkyne (Коробкине) and the settlement Pokrovka (Покровка) include that Oblasthauptstadt Luhansk is located 50 kilometers north from the place.

Klenowyj was founded in 1955 as a miners' settlement for the newly established surrounding coal mines and in 1956 it was elevated to an urban-type settlement. Since the summer of 2014, the town has been occupied by separatists from the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
