Trojizke ( Ukrainian Троїцьке ; Russian Троицкое Troizkoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the Luhansk Oblast in eastern Ukraine with 7,700 inhabitants (2016). Trojitske is the administrative seat of the Rajons of the same name .
geography
Trojitske lies on the bank of the Urasowa (Ukrainian Уразова ), a 45 km long tributary of the Oskol in Sloboda-Ukraine near the border with Russia . The urban-type settlement is located in the northwest of Luhansk Oblast, 220 km northwest of the Luhansk Oblast center and 98 km on the road northeast of Kupyansk . The city of Waluiki in the neighboring Russian Oblast of Belgorod is 53 km northwest of Trojitske. The nearest train station is in Lantrativka (Ukrainian Лантратівка ) 2 km away.
history
The village was founded in 1740 and was called to 1815 Kalniwka (Ukrainian Кальнівка ) and to 1897 Nowotroiizke (Ukrainian Новотроїцьке ). Then the place got its current name, became a district center in 1926 and received urban-type settlement status in 1957.
He did not officially join the Ukrainian SSR until October 16, 1925 , before that he was part of the Russian Soviet Socialist Federal Republic .
