Volodarsk (Ukrainian Володарськ - Ukrainian officially since May 12, 2016 Wedmesche / Ведмеже ; Russian Павловка / Pavlovka ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 2,700 inhabitants.
Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Sverdlovsk, which is 6 kilometers south-east, and forms its own settlement council, which also includes the urban-type Pavlivka settlement . The oblast capital Luhansk is located 51 kilometers northwest of the place, through the place the river Mala Medwescha (Мала Медвежа) flows.
Volodarsk in 1905 under the name Sobatschowka founded (Russian Собачовка) and contributed to the October Revolution, the name Schachty no. 10 (шахти № 10), in 1923 she received in honor of the Russian revolutionary V.
