Komsomolskyj (Ukrainian Комсомольський - Ukrainian officially since May 12, 2016 Dubowe / Дубове ; Russian Комсомольский / Komsomolski ) is an urban-type settlement in the south of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with around 3,100 inhabitants.
Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of the city of Sverdlovsk, which lies 5 kilometers southwest, and forms its own settlement council, which also includes the settlement Prochladne (Прохладне), the oblast capital Luhansk is located 54 kilometers northwest of the place.
Komsomolskyj was founded in 1932 as a miners' settlement under the name Shakhty 5-6 (шахти 5-6) and in 1943 it became one in Imeni 25-ritschtschja WLKSM (імені 25-річчя ВЛКСМ - "25th anniversary of Komsomol"), in 1954 the place became one Settlement of urban type and received its current name, since summer 2014 the place has been occupied by separatists of the Lugansk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
