Boriwske (Ukrainian Борівське ; Russian Боровское / Borowskoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the west of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 5900 inhabitants.
The place administratively belongs to the municipality of the city of Sjewjerodonezk located 11 kilometers northwest and forms its own settlement council to which the villages Bobrowe (Боброве) and Oskoloniwka (Осколонівка) belong, the oblast capital Luhansk is located 63 kilometers east of the local area, south of the place Siversky Donets .
Boriwske was first mentioned in writing in 1640 and was elevated to an urban-type settlement in 1938. Since 1992 the place belongs to the urban district of Sjewjerodonetsk, before it was part of the Popasna Rajon and until 1977 the Lysychansk Raion .
