Milove ( Ukrainian Мілове ; Russian Меловое Melowoje ) is in the oblast Luhansk preferred urban-type in the far east of Ukraine at the Russian-Ukrainian border .

The village with about 5800 inhabitants (2017) has a border crossing to, in the Russian Rostov Oblast located, village Chertkovo (Russian: Чертково ).

Milowe is the administrative center of Milowe Raion and is 140 km north of Luhansk Oblast center . The village was founded as a hamlet in 1872 during the completion of the Voronezh - Rostov railway line , has officially been a village since 1924 and an urban-type settlement since 1938.

The railway line of the North Caucasian Railway separates Milowe from the Russian town of Chertkowo with the train station located there.
