action
Caracas, in the present: Armando is a wealthy dental technician around 50 who grew up abroad. After working in the laboratory, the taciturn loner wanders around the poorer quarters of the Venezuelan capital, looking for young men. Armando pays them to accompany him to his apartment in the Candelaria district . There the men always have to undress half or completely and turn their backs on Armando while he masturbates at a reasonable distance.
When Armando learns of his father's return to Caracas, his orderly life is thrown out of balance. After an unspoken, traumatic childhood experience, he seeks revenge, while his sister, who apparently met the same fate, is in preparation for a child adoption and dreams of a normal family life. Armando then begins to secretly observe his father, who always shuttles back and forth between a guarded villa in the rich suburb and a modern office tower in the city center in an elegant suit.
One day in his search for young men, Armando takes the 17-year-old Elder home with him. The violent leader of a street gang insults him as a "fagot" the first time he meets him, knocks him out and robbed him. Nevertheless, Armando continues to seek proximity to Elder, who works in a car repair shop and still lives with his mother. Armando supports the young man financially and invites him to dinner. After Elder was beaten to hospital by his pregnant friend's brothers, Armando took him in and provided him with medical care.
Halfway recovered, taking advantage of Elder Armando's trust. He searches the apartment and breaks into Armando's safe to get money to buy a car. Elder is caught red-handed by Armando. Armando furiously wants to break off the relationship with the boy. When Elder scolds him again as a “fagot”, Armando voluntarily rams a knife into his thigh several times as a proof of manliness and challenges the shocked Elder to do the same. Elder escapes the apartment, but returns to Armando. He persuades him to go to a hospital together to have his wounds treated.
Elder falls in love with the always aloof Armando, to whom he gives his medallion as a token of his affection. He learns of Armando's disturbed relationship with his father, while Elder talks about the imprisoned father whom he originally passed off to Armando as "deceased." Armando grants Elder a request for his own car for 12,000 bolívar . He had assembled it by hand in the workshop.
When Elder Armando invites to a wedding and kisses him passionately in the men's room, he is violently rejected by the latter. Elders mother, who is also present at the celebrations, learns about her son's relationship with the “business partner” introduced to her. She then puts her son in front of the door in disgust. Elder is again accepted by Armando.
One day Elder Armando promises the murder of the hated father as the ultimate token of love. In fact, Elder returns with three empty cartridges and tells Armando that he killed his father and that no one watched him. They both spend the night together and have sex together for the first time. The next morning, Elder leaves to shop for breakfast at the bakery. When he leaves the shop, he is arrested by several police officers. Armando, who betrayed Elder, watches the street from a safe distance.
