The Deshka River is a 71 km long right tributary of the Susitna River in southern Alaska .

It arises from the confluence of Kroto Creek and Moose Creek in the valley west of the Talkeetna Mountains , flows south and flows about 15 km north of the Yentna River into the Susitna River, which flows into the Cook Inlet .

The Deshka River runs in wide meanders with sandbanks in the middle of the river through a river plain up to 2.4 km wide, which borders on the Susitna River in the east. The upper reaches in particular lie in a wetland area, while the middle and lower reaches wind their way through slightly hilly to flat terrain with moderately dense tree vegetation. The width of the river varies between 15 and 90 m.
