Detlef Lins

Detlef Lins (born December 29, 1965 in Bochum ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2009 to 2015 he was the full-time mayor of the Sauerland city ​​of Sundern .

Life

Although he was born in Bochum, Detlef Lins has lived in Endorf , which was incorporated into Sundern in 1975, since he was three months old . Until 1982 he attended the secondary school Sundern, then until 1984 the higher commercial school in Arnsberg - Neheim-Hüsten . From 1984 to 1986 he trained in the middle general administrative service at the city of Sundern. He worked for the city of Sundern from 1986 to 1993 in the areas of real estate, city treasury and housing management. He graduated from 1993 to 1996 with a degree in administrative management from the Soest department of the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, which was dissolved in 2000 . After completing his studies, he worked for the Sundern city administration in the areas of building regulations and building management. From 2001 he was managing director of the non-profit city-owned Sorpesee GmbH. On November 1, 2015, he became the first managing director of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park .

Detlef Lins is married and has three children.

Political career

Detlef Lins has been a CDU member since 2005. After Friedhelm Wolf (CDU) renounced another candidacy, Lins became a CDU candidate in the Sundern mayoral election in 2009. He won the election with 55.5 percent of the valid votes. For the mayoral election on September 13, 2015, Lins was no longer nominated by the CDU Sundern. The reason given by the CDU in Sundern was public prosecution proceedings against Lins as chairman of the Sundern city marketing board because of the bankruptcies of the city marketing subsidiaries GastWelten GmbH and Sundern Projekt GmbH.

In Towns and Municipalities of North Rhine-Westphalia , Detlef Lins was the mayor of the Committee for Urban Planning, Construction and Planning Deputy Balve Hubertus Mühling, the German Association of Towns and Municipalities , he is member of the Committee on Economic, tourism and transport.
