German championships in summer biathlon 2008

The 10th German Championships in Summer Biathlon 2008 were held from September 12th to 14th in the Hohenzollern Ski Stadium in Bayerisch Eisenstein and organized by SV Bayerisch Eisenstein . The cross-country competitions were held for both men and women in the sub-disciplines of small bore rifles and air rifles in sprint, mass start and a relay competition. The relays were put together according to federal states or regions, occasionally club relays were also at the start. A total of 550 athletes were at the start in all age groups and disciplines, the largest contingent was Bavaria with 97 athletes in the air rifle and 15 athletes in the small-caliber competitions.

The most successful participant was Nicole Kneller with three out of four possible individual titles and a second place. Monika Liedtke won her 30th DM title with her title in the small-bore sprint.
