Devon Allen
Devon Allen (born December 12, 1994 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American hurdler who is also part of the football team at Oregon University .

Devon Allen was born on December 12, 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona . He is the son of Louis and Joey Allen and has two sisters and a brother. Allen is 1.84 m tall and weighs around 84 kg. He currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona . Allen attended Brophy College Preparatory , a Jesuit school in Phoenix, Arizona . He then attended the University of Oregon . He is a member of the athletics team as well as the football team, where he plays in the position of wide receiver .
Career
The highlight of Allen's football career was winning the Pac-12 Football Championship Game , a 2014 college football game organized by the Pacific-12 Conference in which he and his team, the Oregon Ducks , played the Arizona Wildcats won 51-13. Devon Allen was named America's Fastest College Football Player by the National Football League in 2014 .
Allen's first success in athletics was 2nd place in the 2014 Pacific-12 Conference championship in Pullman, Washington, over the 110 meter hurdles. He also achieved 2nd place in the 400 meter hurdles. In 2014, Allen won the 110 meter hurdles in the US championships in a best time of 13.16 seconds ahead of Ryan Wilson and David Oliver . In 2016 Allen was able to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , as he finished first in the 110 meter hurdles at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon with a personal best of 13.03 s. At the Olympic Games he achieved his previous career highlight, as he made it to the finals, where he finished 5th with a time of 13.34 s. At the 2017 US Championships , he was third over the 110 meter hurdles. Allen took part in the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London and made it over 110 meter hurdles to the semi-finals, where he was eliminated in ninth place. The Jamaican Omar McLeod became world champion with a time of 13.04 s. In 2018, Allen became the US 110m hurdle champion for the second time after 2014 , this time ahead of Grant Holloway (the 2019 world champion) and Jarret Eaton. In the same year, Devon Allen took part in the US Indoor Championships and was third in the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 7.49 s. Allen is currently being trained by the American Robert Johnson.
