The 2017 U.S. Track and Field Championships took place June 22-25, 2017 at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento , California . They were organized by the USA Track & Field athletics association .

Qualification for the world championships

The title fights also served to qualify for the US team at the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London . For this, an athlete had to meet the qualification standard by June 25th and, with three World Cup places to be awarded in the final ranking of the respective discipline, belong to the three best athletes with a fulfilled qualification standard. The defending champion of the last world championships and the winner of the Diamond League in 2016 received the World Association of Athletics Federations IAAF an automatic right to start.

Outsourced competition

The championship competition in 50 km street walking, also relevant for the World Cup qualification, took place on January 28th in Santee , California .
