The 2019 U.S. Athletics Championships took place July 25-28, 2019 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines , Iowa .

Qualification for the world championships

The title fights also served to qualify the US team at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha . For this, an athlete had to meet the qualification standard by July 28th and, with three World Cup places to be awarded in the final ranking of the respective discipline, belong to the three best athletes with a fulfilled qualification standard. The defending champion of the last world championships and the winner of the Diamond League in 2019 received the World Association of Athletics Federations IAAF an automatic right to start, the American Association of Athletics Federations demanded in addition a start in Des Moines.

f1Since Kellyn Taylor did not meet the qualification norm , the fifth-placed Marielle Hall was nominated for the world championships, who missed the norm of 31: 50.00 minutes with 31: 56.68 minutes, but qualified as continental champion ( NACAC Championships ).
