Grant Holloway (born November 19, 1997 in Chesapeake , Virginia ) is an American athlete who specializes in the 110-meter hurdles . His greatest success so far was winning the world title at the 2019 World Championships in Doha .

Career

Holloway is a track and field athlete who competed in the disciplines of 60 meter hurdles , 110 meter hurdles , 60 meters , 100 meters , 200 meters , 400 meters (only in the relay), long jump and high jump .

From 2017 to 2019 he won both the 60 and 110 meter hurdles during the US college ( NCAA ) indoor and outdoor championships. He also set the US record for 60 meter hurdles with 7.35 s.

At the 2019 World Championships in Doha , he became world champion in 110 meter hurdles. He benefited from a fall of Olympic champion Omar McLeod .
