history

Rubble mounds of the Dexenhof desert

At the time of the founding of the Oberalteich monastery , the Dexenhof came into the possession of the monastery through a donation from the cathedral bailiffs. In the farm investment book of 1764, two properties are listed in Dexenhof, a three-quarter farm and an eighth farm, under the rule of Hofmark Ascha . Joseph von Hazzi mentions two houses with three hearths in 1805, which belong to Hofmark Falkenfels. In 1811 Dexenhof belonged to the Falkenfels tax district and in 1818 it became part of the newly established Falkenfels community. In 1866, the larger of the properties is listed under number 76 and has land holdings of over 142 days (48.5 hectares ), of which around 137 are in the Falkenfels tax community. The first photo shows this large property with two ponds just under 200 meters east of the smaller property at number 75. Two properties were mentioned there for the last time in 1900. The emergence of the desert after the abandonment of the Dexenhof , the former number 76, in 1964, can be followed on the topographic maps. Most recently the place belonged to the Falkenfels branch of the Catholic parish of Ascha and earlier to the parish of Kirchroth . Dexenhof was part of the Falkenfels school district, formerly of the Münster school district.
