On August 6th, Diamondback was officially announced as Kings Island's largest investment. The 70 m high lift hill was completed on October 30th. On January 26th, 2009, the railways closed. The first test runs were carried out a month later, on February 26th. Diamondback was officially opened on April 18, 2009 .

Trains

Diamondback owns three trains with eight cars each. Four people (one row) can be seated in each car. Lap bars are used as a restraint system. The seats in a row are arranged in the shape of a V so that the two inner seats are slightly in front of the two outer seats.
