Die Einöde Diana is a forester's house belonging to the municipality of Hafenlohr in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart .

geography

Diana is located in the Spessart in the Hafenlohr valley on the MSP 26 district road, right on the border with the Aschaffenburg district . As an exclave in the Fürstlich Löwensteinschen Park, it belongs to the municipality of Hafenlohr. To the north, the districts of the community of Rothenbuch and the community-free area of Forst border Lohrerstraße . The hamlet of Erlenfurt , which belongs to Rothenbuch, is located about 500 m to the northwest , and Einsiedel is about 2.5 km to the south-east . The wasteland consists of the forest houses "Alte" and "Neue Diana".

history

The forester's house was named after Diana , the Roman goddess of the hunt. Diana was built in 1817 as part of the fence construction for the Löwenstein Wildlife Park .
