Poet-Musician-Painter Path

The poet-musician-painter path (DMM path) is a long-distance hiking trail that mainly leads along the former historical painter path or tourist path from Dresden to Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland . The poet-musician-painter path has a total length of 91 km and is divided into five stages.

The DMM-Weg leads from Dresden-Loschwitz over the Schönfelder Hochland , Hosterwitz , Pillnitz , Graupa , through the Liebethaler Grund (the "western entrance gate" of Saxon Switzerland) and the Uttewalder Grund to the city ​​of Wehlen and then to the health resort Rathen . From there, the DMM path runs over the bastion , through the Schwedenlöcher to the Amselfall and through the Wolfsschlucht to the Brand . It continues through the Sebnitz valley to Altendorf and over the Panoramaweg and Schaarwändeweg to the Lichtenhain waterfall , then over the Kuhstall and Großer Winterberg to the border town of Schmilka . On the Bohemian side, the DMM trail continues through Hřensko (Herrnskretschen) . With a boat ride through the Edmundsklamm it goes to Mezní Louka (Rainwiese) and over the Gabrielensteig to the destination, the Prebischtor .
