From 2008 to 2009, the band put several self-produced singles online and managed to attract some attention in the indie scene. In autumn 2009, the drug accompanied the English indie rock - band Art Brut as tour support on their club tour through Germany.
In early 2010 the drugs won a video competition from MTV with a self-made clip. The prize was an unplugged appearance on MTV Akustik . The band received more attention when singer Hari Bauhofer apparently suffered a circulatory collapse on March 8, 2011 in the live broadcast of the ZDF-Morgenmagazin in front of the cameras. Relevant tabloids, including Bild , reported. A day later, TV presenter Stefan Raab quoted an excerpt from the TV appearance on the morning magazine in his TV program and brought the name of the band in connection with the incident. In an interview on the show hallo Deutschland, the band denied that the collapse had anything to do with real drugs.
A year after appearing on ZDF, the band finally announced in a news report that the collapse in the morning magazine was a planned PR campaign in order to generate greater media coverage.
In 2012 the band broke up after two members dropped out and all attempts to reunite had failed.
In 2014 singer Bauhofer, guitarist Roge and drummer Mäddinghausen founded the Acoustik Beatz Orchestra project .
