action

The four brothers Uwe, Peter, Horst-Günter and Manfred Ludolf pursue their livelihoods: They butcher cars and sell the removed parts on. A certain daily routine has set in, apart from minor friction between the brothers, little exciting happens. In a short interview, Günter tells of the brothers' great love for their deceased parents.

When Peter and Günter Ludolf re-enter their late father's office after years and find a travel guide for Italy there, Peter suggests going to Italy. Uwe and Manfred are immediately enthusiastic about the idea. A trip there was a great wish of her parents, but they never managed to visit Italy during their lifetime. The father's Opel Rekord is selected as the vehicle , which is prepared and equipped with a caravan. After initial hesitation, Günter also decides to go along. On the way south, the brothers make a detour to the Jaufenpass and when they arrive in Italy, the four of them find a campsite right by the sea. The brothers enjoy the mild climate and the beautiful view and chatting with the locals. At the end of the trip Venice is visited, Günter marveled at the beauty of the city in a final résumé.

During the film, interview clips of the brothers from a studio are shown again and again, either the studio can be seen over the entire picture or it only takes up half of the picture.
