Dernbach is a municipality in the Neuwied district in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate . She belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Puderbach . Dernbach is a state-approved resort .

geography

The place is in the east sloping valley of the Dernbach, which rises here, with a series of tributaries. The Märkerwald borders in the south and west . The town of Dierdorf is four kilometers to the east. In terms of nature , the municipality belongs to the Sayn-Wied plateau in the Westerwald . Two kilometers to the west is the Dernbacher Kopf ( 427  m above sea level ), the highest elevation in the lower Westerwald.
