coat of arms
Blazon : “Split; in front four red slanting bars in silver, covered by a blue peacock turned to the left; in the back in silver on top three red roses next to each other, underneath a tilted and propped red sword. " | |
Justification of the coat of arms: The Wied coat of arms, peacock and sloping bar, indicate that Hanroth belonged to the upper county of Wied-Runkel (until 1806), which was formerly Isenburg territory. Therefore, instead of the wied colors red and gold, the Isenburg colors red and silver appear. Roses and swords are the emblems of the knights of Raubach , bailiffs of the lords of Isenburg. Hanroth belonged to the Raubach Vogtei. The coat of arms has been legally valid since April 7, 1977, based on a design by Ernst Zeiler, Raubach. |
