The Muppets - Letters to Santa Claus (Original title: A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa ) is an American television production of NBC from 2008 by Kirk R. Thatcher with the characters of the Muppet Show in the leading roles. Various celebrities have guest appearances in the film, including Uma Thurman , Michael Bloomberg and Whoopi Goldberg .

The Muppets line up outside the New York City Post Office to deliver their Christmas letters. All letters go exclusively to Santa Claus , who lives at the North Pole in this film .

Due to a chaos in the post office caused by Gonzo, he forgets to deliver some letters. Among them was a letter from Claire, a girl in the neighborhood, whom he had promised to take the letter to the post office.

Due to the fact that the post office has already closed and all other attempts to deliver the letter to the post office are unsuccessful, the Muppets decide to bring the letters to the North Pole themselves.

In the end they manage to hand the letter over to Santa Claus and read Claire's letter with him. She wants nothing more than to spend Christmas with the whole family.

The film-dienst judged that the film "entertains with a lot of gags" and attributed this to the prominent guest appearances: "Various guest appearances by celebrities also contribute to this, who enrich the otherwise rather short film in their own way."
