Dieter Diekmann (* 1940 in Bielefeld ; † September 18, 1999 in Bochum ) was a German local politician ( CDU ). From May 1987 until the abolition of the office in May 1995 he was senior city director of the city of Bonn . Before that, Diekmann was senior district director of the Stade district and district director in Höxter .

Diekmann studied law and political science at the universities of Marburg , Lausanne , Kiel , Luxembourg and Münster . He worked as an administrative lawyer in local government and became first alderman of the city of Oelde . From 1975 to 1980 he was district director of the Höxter district and from 1980 to 1987 senior district director of the Stade district. On May 1, 1987, he succeeded Karl-Heinz van Kaldenkerken as senior city director of the city of Bonn. From December 1995 he was a member of the board of the Deutsche Bau- und Grundstücks AG, based in Bonn.

Diekmann was arrested on June 14, 1999 on suspicion of breach of trust , fraud and tax evasion . The Bochum district court stated in November 1999 that Diekmann had received a total of 350,000 marks in bribes from the Bonn property developer Bertold Kaaf and that he had obtained orders in return. In addition, the amounts were not taxed. Diekmann committed suicide while in custody . There was no conviction due to his death, the allegations were therefore not cleared up under criminal law (§ 206a StPO).
