Karl-Heinz van Kaldenkerken (born April 10, 1925 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German lawyer , administrative lawyer , senior city director (most recently in Bonn ) and administrative advisor (in Dresden ).

Karl-Heinz van Kaldenkerken studied 1946-1949 jurisprudence . In 1951 he submitted his dissertation The international law of the legitimate child in German jurisprudence since 1935 . From 1950 to 1953 he trained as a judge and civil servant in the higher administrative service , including in the legal office of the Leverkusen city ​​administration . He found the closeness to citizens experienced there professionally fulfilling. Kaldenkerken had already been a member of the administrative board of the municipal joint agency for administrative simplification (KGSt) in Cologne for several years when he was elected to its board in 1974, to which he belonged until 1976. From 1976 to 1987 he worked as Bonn City Director. He stood by the mayor's side as an advisor and as the latter took over the management of the Dresden Conference on Sustainable Urban Development , which consisted of representatives from the City of Dresden and the Free State of Saxony, and which dealt with sales measures and projects for settlement and new buildings. When asked by Dresdner Bank , which provided the chairman of the board of trustees , he dedicated himself to the reconstruction of the Dresden Frauenkirche from 2000 to 2002 as managing director of Wiederaufbau GmbH . From 2002 to 2006 van Kaldenkerken exercised his legal profession in Dresden, while drawing on municipal law and -economic mandates specialized.

Even after his retirement in 2006, he still lives in Dresden. His attachment to Bonn is expressed in his commitment to the board of the Tenten Foundation, which helps Bonn citizens in need. Karl-Heinz van Kaldenkerken is married.

Since 1980 he has been an honorary member of the Catholic student association KDStV Alania Bonn.
