Dieter Moebius (musician)
Dieter Moebius (born January 16, 1944 in Switzerland ; † July 20, 2015 ) was a German-Swiss musician of krautrock and electronic music .
Life
Dieter Moebius studied art in Brussels and Berlin , where he met Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Conrad Schnitzler ( Tangerine Dream ). They founded the band Kluster in 1969. After Schnitzler left, they renamed the band Cluster . Later Moebius and Roedelius founded the band Harmonia with Michael Rother ( New! ), Who also worked with Brian Eno .
Dieter Moebius was involved in numerous projects with musicians such as Conny Plank or Mani Neumeier ( Guru Guru ). In 2007 he toured with Michael Rother as Rother & Moebius . In addition, Harmonia gave a concert on November 27, 2007 in the House of World Cultures in Berlin, the first since 1976.
Dieter Moebius died on July 20, 2015 at the age of 71.
