Dieter Suhr

Dieter Suhr (born May 7, 1939 in Windhoek , South West Africa ; † August 28, 1990 in Chania , Crete ) was a lawyer and professor of public law . His brother is the journalist Giselher Suhr .

Dieter Suhr received his doctorate in 1966 at the University of Hamburg under Herbert Krüger with a thesis on property institute and share ownership . In 1973 he completed his habilitation as a student of Helmut Quaritsch with the habilitation thesis "Consciousness Constitution and Social Constitution - About Hegel and Marx to a Dialectical Constitutional Theory " at the Free University of Berlin . Since 1975 he has been a professor of public law, legal philosophy and legal informatics at the University of Augsburg , at the same time as a judge at the Bavarian Constitutional Court for a short time . His main research interests were fundamental rights , in particular property law and environmental law . On the basis of constitutional considerations on the monetary and currency order , he recently also dealt with monetary theory and presented proposals that deviated from the scientific mainstream, based on the monetary and economic theories of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon , Silvio Gesell and John Maynard Keynes .
