Dieter Zwicky

Dieter Zwicky (born September 7, 1957 in Mollis ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Dieter Zwicky 1988, a study of Protestant theology at the University of Zurich with a licentiate completed. He worked as a postal worker, today he is proofreader for the Swiss weekly newspaper Die Weltwoche . Zwicky lives with his family in Uster in the canton of Zurich .

Zwicky writes stories , especially short stories , and is a member of the Association of Authors in Switzerland .

He received u. a. 1990 and 2006 a year of work for the canton of Zurich, in 2002 a 'half year work grant' from the city of Zurich and in 2006 the Schiller Prize of the Zürcher Kantonalbank . In 2007 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition for the first time and again in the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2016 . On this second attempt, he was awarded the Kelag Prize (endowed with 10,000 euros) for his text “Los Alamos is tiny” . In 2017 he was one of the recipients of the Swiss Literature Prize .
