Dietmar Drabow (born January 14, 1963 in Cottbus ) is a former German football player in defense and midfield . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR Oberliga and for Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin in the 2nd Bundesliga.
Career
Drabow went through the youth departments at BSG Energie Cottbus up to the first team. He made his debut in the GDR league season 1980/81 on March 1, 1981, when he was in the starting line-up in the 1-1 draw against BSG activist Black Pump . In the current season he came to another three missions and also scored one goal. After promotion to the league, Drabow was used ten times. He made his debut on the first day of play when he was substituted on for Uwe Weller at halftime on August 22, 1981 in the 5-0 defeat against Rot-Weiß Erfurt . After the direct relegation, Drabow was still considered a supplementary player in the two following seasons. He had his breakthrough in 1984/85 . That season he played 31 of 34 games and scored eight goals. In the following season he scored ten goals in 25 games, which he had a decisive role in the promotion. Even in the league, Drabow was now part of the regular staff and only missed two games; He scored four goals in the 24 games. After the direct relegation, he completed only 13 games in the GDR league before he moved to BSG Stahl Riesa for one season in 1988 , for which he scored five goals in 35 games. Then Drabow was committed by Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin, who played in the 2nd Bundesliga. There he made his debut on February 17, 1990, when he was in the starting line-up in a 2-1 win against VfL Osnabrück on matchday 22 . Two game days later, he scored his first goal in the 2nd Bundesliga. Against Eintracht Braunschweig he converted a penalty in the 11th minute to make it 1-0; the game ended 1-1. Also in the following two seasons Drabow was part of the permanent staff. After relegation, he moved to BSV Stahl Brandenburg in 1992 , which was also relegated. In 1994 Drabow went to Türkiyemspor Berlin , but moved back to Energie Cottbus in the third-class regional league in the same year. There he belonged again to the regular staff in the following two seasons and completed 54 league games. In 1996 he went to SV Babelsberg 03 for two years and then to MSV Neuruppin , where he ended his career in 2001.
In the following years Drabow worked as a coach at several lower class clubs.
