Dietmar Schicke

Dietmar Schicke (born October 26, 1942 in Löwen ) is a former German politician ( LDPD / FDP ). He was chairman of the LDPD district committee Karl-Marx-Stadt and state chairman of the Federation of Free Democrats and the FDP Saxony .

Life

The son of a farmer was born in Silesia and after the end of the Second World War he was relocated to the Vogtland in the Soviet occupation zone . After attending elementary school from 1949 to 1957 and secondary school with Abitur until 1961 in Reichenbach in the Vogtland , he did voluntary military service in 1961/62 . From 1962 to 1963 he worked as a brigade clerk at MTS Mylau . From 1963 to 1967 he studied at the Pedagogical Institute in Leipzig, graduating as a teacher of Russian and German. From 1967 to 1985 he worked as a teacher and consultant in Netzschkau . During this time he completed a distance learning course at the Pushkin Institute from 1975 to 1978 . From 1985 to 1988 he was director of the Pestalozzi High School in Reichenbach.

Schicke, a member of the LDPD from 1967, was chairman of the LDPD district association Reichenbach and a member of the district assembly from 1984 to 1988. From 1988 to February 1990 he took on the role of LDPD district chairman in Karl-Marx-Stadt and also became a member of the LDPD's central board. At the constitution of the LDP-Landesverband Sachsen on February 24, 1990 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, he was elected chairman. At the same time he was from February to August 1990 state chairman of the electoral alliance Bund Free Democrats in Saxony.

In the People's Chamber election on March 18, 1990 , he was elected to the People's Chamber and deputy chairman of the Liberals parliamentary group. In August 1990 he joined the FDP and became a member of the FDP federal executive committee. When the GDR joined the Federal Republic on October 3, 1990, he was to move into the Bundestag as a member of the FDP. This never happened because he had to resign from his political offices because of MfS involvement.
