Dietmar Schuth (born March 2, 1961 in the Eifel ) is a German art historian and curator .

Life

Dietmar Schuth studied art history and German in Heidelberg as well as archeology and theater studies in Vienna . In 1995 he did his doctorate in Heidelberg on the "color blue ". Since 2001 he has been the artistic director of the Kunstverein Worms and, since 2005, of the Kunstverein Schwetzingen . Dietmar Schuth is also active as an artistic consultant for various theater productions in Kiel and Wiesbaden . His lifelong preoccupation with the color blue makes him one of the leading experts in iconography and natural sciences (botany and zoology) on this subject. For “Heidelberger Naturfarben” he systematically researched the subject of natural colors and developed a natural paint box as well as the still popular “Tinti” (bath water colors for children). Another focus of his activities is the development of 19th century architecture and the organization of art and cultural tours within Europe, the Middle East and Australia.
