Dietrich Friedrich Joachim Graf von der Schulenburg (-Lieberose) (born August 15, 1849 in Lieberose ; † January 17, 1911 ibid) was a German nobleman and politician.

family

Dietrich von der Schulenburg came from the black line of the widely branched noble family von der Schulenburg . He was the eldest son of the landlord of Lieberose Friedrich Albrecht Graf von der Schulenburg (1801–1869) and his wife Karoline von Münchow (1820–1890).

Schulenburg married Hedwig, born in 1872. by Countess von Saldern (1854–1944). One of her two daughters was Sigrid von der Schulenburg . His younger brother Otto (1857–1945) became heir .

Life

At the age of 20, after the death of his father, Dietrich von der Schulenburg took over the inherited family property, the Lieberose class and the Lamsfeld and Trebitz manors , all in the Lübben district. He was a lieutenant in the reserve in the 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment and district deputy in the Lübben district.

In 1879, at the age of 30, he was able to take the hereditary seat of the family in the Prussian manor house . Schulenburg-Lieberose belonged to the manor house until his death in 1911.

In 1909 he became an honorary member of the Niederlausitz Society for Anthropology and Classical Studies .
