Difused (spelling: DIFUSED) is a German melodic death metal band from Emsdetten .
history
Difused was founded in 2005 by Mirko Klier (ex- Adorned Brood ) and Manuel Schmittwilken (ex- Dawn of Insanity ). Jonathan Roß on bass and Christian Schmittwilken on vocals joined the band a short time later. After a long search, the line-up was finally completed with Hendrik Malz on drums and the band played their first concert in Neuenkirchen in December .
In early 2006 they recorded their first self-titled demo. At the beginning of 2007, the band split from Malz due to musical differences. Jorge Colmont ( Surpreme Carnage ) took over the job on drums . In the same year Christian Schmittwilken left the band to concentrate on his studies. Dirk Frenking ( Fleshworks ) joined the band for him in early 2008 . He did the guttural singing while Colmont did the clean singing. The band played a few concerts, including a. in support of Adorned Brood , Suidakra , Endstille , Grailknights and Vader .
In early 2009 the band went to the studio in Osnabrück to record their first full album in September . In October 2009, Frenking left the band for personal reasons and Colmont switched from drums to vocals entirely. Matthias Starp (Wrath) was recruited on drums for him and Henning Schmidt (ex- Grimblade ), who had already helped out as a live keyboardist in the past, joined the band as a permanent fixture. As a result, the band concentrated on the songwriting for a second album and played various concerts, including a. in Barcelona and Igualada together with All Will Know and Ravenblood . In 2012 the band returned to the studio to record their second album The Silence , which was released on October 20, 2012 via 7 Hard Records .
In January 2013, Manuel Schmittwilken and Colmont left for reasons of time. They were replaced by Sascha Gunkel (ex- Grimblade ) on guitar and Claus Ulka (ex- Misery Speaks ) on mic. Several concerts followed, including a. toured Poland in November 2014. The band is currently working on new material for a third album.
On February 1, 2017, the band announced their breakup via Facebook.
