Dimitrios Kappas ( Greek Δημήτριος Κάππας , also Dimitris Kappas , Δημήτρης Κάππας ; * January 20, 1989 ) is a Greek cross-country skier and biathlete .

Dimitrios Kappas from EOS Naousas made his international debut at the Nordic Junior World Championships 2006 in Kranj , where he finished 91st in the freestyle sprint and 97th in the 10-kilometer classic. In the following years he started regularly in the Alpencup , the Balkan Cup and the Slavic Cup . In 2008 he again took part in the Junior World Championships in Nordic skiing in Mals and was 73rd in freestyle sprints and 95th in the 10-kilometer classic. In 2009, Kappas won the title of Greek master in the classic sprint in Seli . The next major event a year later was the Nordic Junior World Championships in Le Praz-de-Lys-Sommand . The Greek only started the 10-kilometer freestyle and was 89 there. In the same month he also started at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec , but failed as 82nd in the freestyle sprint qualification. In the overall ranking of the Rollerski World Cup 2010 he was ranked 41st. In 2011, Kappas won a freestyle sprint race in Metsovo as part of the Balkan Cup. A little later he participated again in the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo . In the freestyle sprint, Kappas finished 86th, over the 15-kilometer classic he was 101.

In 2008 , Kappas made his biathlon debut in the IBU Cup in Obertilliach , where he did not finish his first race in an individual. A little later he finished a sprint race for the first time and finished 110. It is his best place in the IBU Cup so far. The first international championship in biathlon was the 2011 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Nové Město na Moravě . Kappas was 51st in the sprint, he did not finish the pursuit race as a lapped runner.
