Dinah Manoff

Dinah Beth Manoff (born January 25, 1958 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress .

Life

Dinah Manoff was born in New York City to screenwriter Arnold Manoff and actress and director Lee Grant . Manoff graduated from the California School of the Arts. She then trained at the Actors Studio in New York City.

Her first marriage was to the designer Jean-Marc Joubert. She has been married to Arthur Morell since 1997 and has three sons with him. Their first child was born in 1997 and their twins were born in 2002.

Career

Dinah Manoff first appeared in the film The Stronger , directed by her mother, at the age of 18 .

Her best-known role is that of Pink Lady Marty Marashino in the musical adaptation of Grease .

After the success of the cult musical, Dinah Manoff was seen in many guest roles in television programs in the following years. The actress also showed her talent on stage, for example for the play Table Settings she worked with her colleague Stockard Channing for the second time . The two met again in the film Staying Together , directed by Lee Grant. For her performance in the Broadway play I Ought To Be In Pictures of Neil Simon Manoff was a 1980 Tony Award excellent. Manoff was also seen in the subsequent film adaptation of the play. From 1989 to 1993 she played Carol Weston in the series Golden Girls and in the two offshoots Harrys Nest and Hello Sister .

This was followed by other guest appearances on television, including on the " John Larroquette Show" and Cybill . From 2002, she appeared in six episodes of the State of Grace series and in 2008 she returned to the big screen. In addition to William H. Macy , she plays a supporting role in the film Bart Got a Room .
