Dionisio Kfoury
Dionisio Kfoury BS , also Dionysios Kfoury (born December 5, 1879 in Khonsarah , Syria , † March 11, 1965 ) was auxiliary bishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church in the Patriarchate of Antioch .
Life
Dionisio Kfoury was ordained a priest on August 6, 1904 . On December 9, 1926 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Antioch and on the same day appointed titular archbishop of Tarsus dei Greco-Melkiti . He received his episcopal ordination from the Patriarch of Antioch Archbishop Kyrillos IX. Moghabghab ; He was assisted by Archbishop Basilio Cattan of Beirut and Jbeil and Bishop Melezio Abou-Assaleh of Baalbek in Lebanon as co- consecrators . The inauguration of Dionisio Kfoury took place on June 20, 1927.
From 1932 to 1954 he was Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria and successor to Antonio Farage . He was co-consecrator of Archbishop Elias Zoghbi von Baalbek, who was also a part-time Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria.
